BAD NEWS – West Ham key man PICKS UP Nasty Achilles INJURY as the Severity of the injury is…

West Ham striker Niclas Füllkrug is expected to miss Germany’s Nations League clash against the Netherlands due to an Achilles issue, according to Bild.

The 31-year-old was forced to leave Germany’s final training session at the Johan Cruyff ArenA after just 15 minutes. Füllkrug later returned to the pitch but remained on the bench for the rest of the session. The extent of the injury has not yet been determined.

Füllkrug had recently made his way back into Germany’s starting line-up after being benched during EURO 2024. He scored the opening goal in their 5-0 victory over Hungary in Düsseldorf on Saturday night.

The striker, who joined West Ham from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, has yet to fully establish himself at the London club.

His absence could lead to changes in Germany’s line-up for the match against the Netherlands.

Deniz Undav or Maximilian Beier may be given a chance to lead the attack, or Kai Havertz could return to the central role he played during EURO 2024.

Another option is for Chris Führich to start on the left, with Jamal Musiala moving into a more central position. Beier had replaced Füllkrug in the 60th minute during the Hungary match, making him a likely candidate to step up again.
