BREAKING! Kalvin Phillips transfer news – Next Stop: Leeds United? Man City issues superb news about players return to Elland Road after latest news coming out of the Etihad Stadium

Manchester City are ready to accept offers of £20 million for Kalvin Phillips this summer, according to sources from Football Insider.

The midfielder, who joined City for £42 million from Leeds just two years ago, could now be sold for less than half that price as the club looks to move him on.

Speaking on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that Everton have made an approach for Phillips, identifying him as a potential replacement for Amadou Onana, who is set to leave the club.

Phillips, keen to reignite his career after a difficult loan spell at West Ham last season, is reportedly open to the move. His time in London was far from successful, making just ten appearances and struggling under David Moyes, leading to a fractious relationship with the fans.

At City, Phillips has found it nearly impossible to displace Rodri in Pep Guardiola’s starting line-up. Since joining in 2022, he has managed just 31 appearances, with 17 of those coming from the bench.

Despite being part of a squad that has won the Champions League, Club World Cup, FA Cup, and two Premier League titles, Phillips has never really established himself as a key figure at the Etihad.

City are now looking to cut their losses and are willing to sanction a cut-price deal to offload the England international quickly.

Everton manager Sean Dyche is reportedly eager to bring Phillips to Goodison Park, viewing him as a proven Premier League talent who can bolster his midfield options.

While Everton have yet to make a formal offer, Football Insider reports that the Toffees have made initial enquiries, and a move could be in the pipeline as Dyche looks to reshape his squad ahead of the new season.
