Leeds United fans were left fuming with right-back Jayden Bogle after his defensive lapse led to Burnley’s winning goal on Saturday.
Winger Manor Solomon lost possession in Burnley’s half, slipping to allow Luca Koleosho to take control and charge at the Leeds defence.
Bogle, rather than close down the advancing Koleosho, backed off, giving the Burnley winger far too much space.
By the time Bogle attempted to intervene, it was too late. Koleosho ran unchallenged from his own half and calmly slotted past Illan Meslier in the Leeds goal.
The goal secured a crucial win for Scott Parker’s Burnley at Elland Road, moving them into second place in the Championship, just two points behind leaders Sunderland.
Leeds fans have been vocal in their criticism of Bogle, particularly on social media, with many questioning his defending during the crucial moment.
Bogle was one of five permanent signings for Leeds this summer, joining from Sheffield United for £5 million. But his performance has already sparked concern among the Elland Road faithful.
