Celtic fans TROLL ‘Celebrity Zombie Rangers man’ live on Air after dismantling Gers and Slovan Bratislava at Parkhead with ease

Rangers superfan Drew McIntyre found himself the target of Celtic fans during a WWE live show on Friday (20 September).

Though McIntyre wasn’t scheduled to appear on SmackDown, which draws over two million viewers weekly in the United States, a Celtic supporter in attendance didn’t miss the chance to troll the Scotsman.

The fan held a sign reading “Drew Is a Zombie,” a nod to Rangers’ financial collapse and subsequent climb back up the leagues, as reported by The Scottish Sun (21 September).

The “zombie” jibe refers to Rangers’ 2012 administration, an insult long past its sell-by date given the club’s resurgence.

McIntyre, a proud Rangers supporter, has made no secret of his allegiance, with the club’s fierce rivalry with Celtic even creeping into WWE storylines in recent years.

McIntyre’s career has mirrored that of Rangers in some ways. Released by WWE earlier in his career, the Scottish wrestler fought his way back to the top, much like his beloved club.

And like Rangers, McIntyre has often found himself on the verge of major success, only to fall just short of the ultimate prize.

Had he been present at the event in Sacramento, it would have been interesting to see how McIntyre reacted to the taunt.

However, he was likely enjoying a rare day off, with his attention perhaps turning to Rangers’ clash with Dundee later that weekend (21 September).
