Leicester City have had a difficult start to the Premier League season, failing to secure a win in their first six matches. Despite being competitive in most of their fixtures, frustrations are mounting among supporters.
The Foxes came close to taking points from Arsenal last weekend, only to concede two stoppage-time goals in a 4-2 defeat.
Fans have become increasingly critical of manager Steve Cooper’s tactics and team selection, and the pressure is building.
Speaking at Thursday’s press conference, Cooper addressed these frustrations ahead of Saturday’s crucial match against Bournemouth at the King Power Stadium.
“We need a result, for sure,” the Leicester boss said, via BBC Radio Leicester.
“That’s where narratives are written – we are in a world where results dictate so many things. We are committed to getting a result going into the international break.
“We want to attack the game, we’re desperate for our fans to see us win and play well. There’s nothing gained from being negative, but we have to take responsibility for improving results.”
To turn things around, Cooper is expected to unleash Leicester’s attacking talents by starting both Stephy Mavididi and Abdul Fatawu together.
The pair have been on the pitch for only 30 minutes this season, which, given their impressive contributions last term, has left many baffled.
Cooper is also under pressure to hand Ricardo Pereira his first league start of the campaign, with fans calling for more adventurous team selections as Leicester seek their first win of the season against Bournemouth.
