“To have him would be great for me” – ‘Arteta won’t be able to offer him trophies?’ Antonio Rudiger tells Gunners 23-year old star to leave that small club like Arsenal and come to Real Madrid to win the Champions League and LaLiga

Real Madrid star Antonio Rüdiger has named a member of the defensive ranks at Premier League giants Arsenal as the player he would bring to Spain’s capital, if given the opportunity.

The German international sat down for an interview with the YouTube channel “The Inside Scoop” on Thursday.

During the discussion, several interesting questions were posed to the former Chelsea player, from his current situation in Madrid to goal celebrations and more.

However, the question that garnered the most attention concerned the top central defenders in football today.

When asked to name the three best central defenders in world football, excluding himself, Rüdiger responded:

“I won’t put them in order. Saliba, Van Dijk, and Gabriel is pushing.”

From there, the German focused on Arsenal star William Saliba, admitting that he would be happy to have the 23-year-old by his side in Madrid:

“I’m very happy with my centre-back partner, Militão. He came back from a serious injury, he’s getting back to his best. But there are so many games, so we would rotate, so having Saliba… it would be fantastic.”
