Jamie Vardy pulled out some of his classic tricks from the sh*thousery handbook on Saturday as Leicester City staged a remarkable comeback against Southampton.
The Saints seemed destined to claim a 2-0 win, but they were not ready for the Foxes’ dramatic response. In a stunning turnaround, Leicester scored three late goals to steal all three points from St Mary’s Stadium.
Vardy, ever the antagonist, netted from the penalty spot and took the opportunity to stir things up with a taunting celebration aimed at a group of disabled Southampton supporters.
The provocative gesture sparked an angry reaction, with some fans leaping from their seats to confront the Leicester forward.

Archer opened the scoring with a tap-in from Ryan Manning’s cross after just eight minutes, before Aribo doubled the lead with another close-range finish from a Kyle Walker-Peters delivery.
Southampton looked comfortable, but Leicester came out fighting in the second half, thanks in large part to substitute Abdul Fatawu. Introduced on the hour, Fatawu began causing problems immediately. Facundo Buonanotte converted one of his dangerous crosses to spark the Leicester revival.
Fatawu continued to wreak havoc, hitting the bar with a fierce shot and forcing Aaron Ramsdale into an impressive save seconds later. In the ensuing scramble, Ryan Fraser pulled down Vardy, who converted the resulting penalty after Fraser was shown a red card.
As the game entered stoppage time, Jordan Ayew sealed the comeback with a dramatic winner, sending the Leicester fans into raptures and leaving the home supporters furious with their team.
Southampton now find themselves rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table with just one point from eight matches, their season going from bad to worse. Meanwhile, Leicester’s win will boost their momentum as they continue to adjust to life back in the top flight.
