Check out When is Premier Sports Cup final? Date for League Cup showpiece Revealed as Celtic book spot and await Rangers or Motherwell

Celtic secured their place in the Premier Sports Cup final with a resounding 6-0 victory over Aberdeen, and they now await the outcome of the semi-final between Rangers and Motherwell to learn who they’ll face.

The first domestic trophy of the Scottish football season will be awarded before Christmas, and Celtic are determined to reclaim the silverware after an early exit at the last-16 stage last year.

Brendan Rodgers’ squad will return to Hampden Park next month, set to take on either holders Rangers or Motherwell, who compete in their semi-final at the national stadium on Sunday.

Given their impressive form, Celtic are likely to be favourites in the final regardless of the opponent, having already defeated both Rangers and Motherwell 3-0 earlier in the season.

The Premier Sports Cup final is scheduled for Sunday, December 15, at Hampden Park, with an expected 3pm kick-off. Premier Sports will broadcast the match live on television and across its digital streaming platforms.

Due to Celtic’s progression to the final, their Premiership fixture against Dundee, initially set for Saturday, December 14, will be rescheduled.

If Rangers also reach the final, their league match with Aberdeen on December 15 will need to be moved.

Alternatively, if Motherwell triumph over Rangers, their game with Dundee United on December 14 will be postponed.

As Celtic await their final opponent, the club is on course to add another trophy to their storied cabinet, building momentum for the season ahead.
