Club Brugge midfielder Ardon Jashari has boldly claimed his side are ready to quieten the famously raucous Celtic crowd as they face the Hoops in a high-stakes Champions League clash at Parkhead on Wednesday night.
Both teams head into the showdown on the back of emphatic domestic victories. Celtic eased past Hearts 4-1 in the Scottish Premiership, while Brugge demolished Sint-Truidense 7-0 in the Belgian Pro League.
Jashari, who was linked with Celtic before joining Brugge in 2023 for £6 million from Luzern, is unfazed by the challenge of playing under the lights in Glasgow.
He stated: “There were no celebrations after the weekend win because we have a difficult away match against Celtic on Wednesday. And we know that the Scots can be very strong at home.
“It is up to us to silence their fans. I thought we played very well and it was the perfect way to prepare for such an important match.”
Reflecting on Brugge’s recent form, Jashari added: “The most important thing for us was it showed we could bounce back so well to what was a disappointing result at Beerschot in our previous game. We had to react and we did.
“Now we have to show we can perform at the same level in Glasgow. A win at Celtic would be a big step to reaching the next round.”
Celtic will look to harness the electric Parkhead atmosphere to strengthen their own European ambitions.
