Ramon Sosa may have joined Nottingham Forest in the summer for £9.3 million, but his impact so far has been minimal, prompting the Paraguayan to send a message to manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
Forest made 11 signings during the transfer window, with standout performances coming from Elliot Anderson, Alex Moreno, and Nikola Milenkovic—the latter even attracting interest from Newcastle.
However, Sosa has struggled to carve out a regular role in the side, managing only limited minutes across the Premier League campaign.
Ramon Sosa Sends Message to Nuno
Sosa has featured in 10 Premier League games this season but has yet to start, accumulating just 140 minutes of action. Despite Nuno admitting Sosa is behind Jota Silva in the pecking order, there has been little sign of change for the winger in recent weeks.
Seemingly frustrated by his lack of opportunities, Sosa took to Instagram to remind the club of his dedication. Posting an image of himself in the weights room at Nottingham Forest, he wrote:
“When it plays and when it doesn’t play, always here.”
Where Does Sosa Fit In?
Sosa has predominantly featured on the left flank when called upon, even netting a goal against Brighton earlier in the season. However, Callum Hudson-Odoi’s strong form has made the left midfield spot his own, leaving Sosa sidelined.
At 25, Sosa still has plenty of time to adapt to the demands of the Premier League. Adjusting to the English top flight can take time, particularly for players coming from different leagues, and Sosa’s dedication suggests he’s willing to put in the work.
While opportunities have been scarce, the Paraguayan will hope to make a bigger impact as the season progresses and prove his worth to both Nuno and the Forest faithful.
