Ja’Keem Jackson, a former starting cornerback for Florida, has officially transferred to LSU.
Jackson, who started the first two games of the 2024 season for Florida before being sidelined by an ankle injury, joins LSU’s 2025 roster alongside tight end Sharp Bauer as the program’s latest transfer portal additions.
During his two seasons with the Gators, Jackson appeared in 13 games, recording 11 tackles, four pass breakups, and a quarterback hurry.
As a true freshman in 2023, he featured in 11 games, registering seven tackles and three pass breakups.
A standout talent from Kissimmee, Florida, Jackson was a consensus four-star recruit out of Osceola High School.
He earned ESPN Top 300 honours and was rated the No. 3 overall cornerback in the nation by On3.
Jackson played a key role in leading Osceola to a 10-4 record and a semifinal berth in the Florida high school playoffs during his senior year.
With Jackson’s arrival, LSU strengthens its secondary with a proven talent eager to make an impact in the SEC.
