Alex Valle returned to Barcelona yesterday afternoon after cutting short his season-long loan spell with Celtic.
As previously reported, Valle signed a one-year contract extension with Barcelona before joining Celtic in the summer.
This agreement included a ‘small’ buy-out clause, reportedly around €6 million, and it seems Como are prepared to activate this clause in the summer.

Changing circumstances at Celtic:
Brendan Rodgers recently explained during a media conference attended by The Celtic Star that part of the agreement to bring Valle to Celtic involved committing to giving the player sufficient game-time.
However, changing circumstances at the club meant this would be limited for the remainder of the season. As a result, Celtic were actively involved in the decision and did not have it imposed on them.
At his media conference yesterday at Villa Park, ahead of tonight’s Champions League match against Aston Villa, Rodgers confirmed that Valle had left the club and would not feature again for the Hoops.
“Alex won’t play again, sadly”
The Celtic manager stated: “Alex won’t play again, sadly. He’s in Barcelona now at the moment and he will probably then move on to another team.
“So, yes, again, another young player that’s contributed really well for us, played nearly 20 appearances for us, played in some very important games, made his Champions League debut. Especially in Atalanta, he was fantastic, played in really important games. So, we’re disappointed that he’s left, but we have to move on.”
