Nottingham Forest are actively seeking new signings before the transfer window closes, with attackers being a key focus.
The Reds’ owner, Evangelos Marinakis, is keen to add another forward to the squad. So far, the club has not completed any deals this month, but the final days of the window promise to be eventful.
There is a possibility that Forest may not sign anyone, as the current squad sits comfortably in third place in the Premier League, leaving little cause for concern.

Several strikers have been linked with a move to the City Ground, with Wolves’ Matheus Cunha emerging as the strongest candidate. Forest are reportedly considering a club-record bid for the player.
However, it remains unclear how these links will materialize. Forest are determined to ensure their squad is well-equipped, which could lead to a busy period behind the scenes.
David Ornstein provides Igor Jesus update amid Nottingham Forest links:

Jesus has also been linked with Arsenal this month. The Gunners, in need of a striker, made a loan offer for the Brazilian, but it was firmly rejected by Botafogo, the reigning Brazilian champions.
Now, Ornstein has assessed the likelihood of Forest securing Jesus this month, and the news isn’t encouraging for the club’s supporters who may have hoped to see the versatile forward at the City Ground.
He told TalkSPORT on YouTube: “Forest are exploring other options too. Igor Jesus is a player that they’ve reportedly put an offer in for, but he’s not keen to move, and Botafogo need him, so the likelihood is that he now stays.”

This would have been a highly beneficial signing for Forest. The club has previously enjoyed great success in the Brazilian market, and Jesus could have been another shrewd acquisition.
At just 23 years old, Jesus joined Botafogo in July from Middle Eastern side Shabab Al-Ahli and has had an outstanding debut season with the club.

Appearances: 56
Goals: 25
Assists: 9
Yellow Cards: 6
His contributions were instrumental in Botafogo’s league triumph, which explains why European clubs are eager to sign him before the window closes.
Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that Forest will secure Jesus this window. His immediate future appears to remain with Botafogo, and this may be a deal the Reds revisit in the summer instead.
