Galatasaray have reportedly inquired about the availability of Leicester City defender Wout Faes, as per a Turkish source.
Outlet PlaySpor states that Leicester have communicated their demand of €20 million for the center-back, with the Turkish transfer window remaining open until February 11.
This leaves Galatasaray with time to submit an offer for Faes, though Leicester would be unable to secure a replacement until the summer transfer window.
The Belgian defender is contracted until June 2027 and has previously been the subject of transfer speculation. Just last month, Sky Sports France reported that Leicester had agreed to sell Faes “in the event of an interesting offer.”
At the time, he was linked with a potential summer move, with clubs in Germany and Italy showing interest. Lazio was specifically mentioned as a suitor.
However, the situation has shifted since then, as Leicester were not charged with breaching Profitability & Sustainability Rules, allowing them to plan more effectively for the summer transfer window.
Faes has been a consistent starter under manager Ruud van Nistelrooy in recent weeks, although Leicester’s defensive performances have not made him irreplaceable.
That said, the club is unlikely to let him go without the ability to bring in a replacement, making a deal in the coming days highly improbable.
Currently, Leicester have Faes, Jannik Vestergaard, Conor Coady, and Caleb Okoli as options in central defense. Both Okoli and Coady have been linked with potential exits from the King Power Stadium in recent weeks.
