Leicester City are open to offers for Wout Faes, with the club reportedly setting a £15 million price tag for the Belgium international defender.
Although Faes was a regular starter under former manager Steve Cooper, he has struggled to make an impact under Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The new boss has opted for a central defensive pairing of Conor Coady and Jannik Vestergaard, leaving Faes on the sidelines.
The Foxes are expected to finalize the £3 million signing of Woyo Coulibaly from Parma in the coming days.
Alongside this addition, Leicester are actively searching for reinforcements in several areas, including a winger, a left-sided centre-back, and a forward to provide competition for Jamie Vardy.
The club is also eager to terminate Odsonne Edouard’s season-long loan from Crystal Palace.
However, the forward is ineligible to play for another European side this season, leaving Leicester reliant on interest from Major League Soccer or other leagues yet to begin their campaigns.
Sheffield United have expressed significant interest in signing Hamza Choudhury. While discussions are ongoing, the two clubs are yet to agree on the structure of a potential loan deal. Leicester are pushing for an obligation to buy, but the Blades are only prepared to commit to an option at this stage.
Additionally, Leicester are considering recalling Tom Cannon from his loan at Stoke City. If they opt to sell the forward permanently, Sheffield United and Sunderland are believed to be potential destinations.
Faes, meanwhile, made a rare start in Leicester’s 6-2 victory over QPR in the FA Cup third round on Saturday. The defender marked the occasion by scoring his second goal of the season.
