Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espírito Santo has primarily used Ramón Sosa as a substitute, with the winger making just three starts in all competitions this season.

Since joining the Reds from Talleres de Córdoba last summer, after pushing for the transfer, Sosa has accumulated 373 minutes of playing time across 16 matches.

The 25-year-old’s limited involvement at Nottingham Forest prompted interest from another club during the winter transfer window. According to journalist Christian Martin, as relayed by Versus in Paraguay, an unnamed club outside the Premier League made an attempt to sign him.

The report states that both Nottingham Forest and the Paraguay international turned down the offer, with the Premier League side ‘rejecting an offer’.

Versus took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to reveal that the unnamed club was based in Europe. Sosa has expressed his desire to remain at Nottingham Forest, where he is under contract until 2029.

Last month, reports from Brazil claimed that Vasco da Gama had conducted a secret operation to sign the Nottingham Forest player. The same reports also mentioned that Boca Juniors and Cruz Azul had made offers for Sosa, but their attempts were unsuccessful.
