A prominent figure at Celtic is reportedly open to the idea of moving to another club in the near future, according to a new claim from former Everton CEO Keith Wyness.
The Hoops delivered an impressive 5-1 victory over Aberdeen at home on Tuesday night, continuing their dominant march toward another Scottish Premiership title.
Rangers, on the other hand, have faltered throughout the season, failing to mount a serious challenge and ultimately parting ways with manager Philippe Clement. With Celtic’s triumph seemingly inevitable, attention now turns to their upcoming match against St Mirren on Saturday.
For Brendan Rodgers, this marks a successful second stint in charge at Parkhead. After securing the title in his first season back, he is now on the verge of making it back-to-back championships in May.
Rodgers is highly regarded at Celtic, thanks to the success and attractive football he has brought to the club. However, fans are aware that there is always a risk of losing him, as was the case when he left for Leicester City during his first tenure.

Speaking to Football Insider, Wyness suggested that Rodgers would “love” to leave Celtic for a bigger club, such as Bayern Munich, casting doubt over his long-term future at the club.
“It’s always surprised me that he’s not come to the top. Everyone says he’s very bright, very hardworking and innovative. People in football have always had a high opinion of him, but that hasn’t matched his level of success. He was harshly treated at Liverpool and didn’t go on to great success elsewhere.
“He’s still got time and I think his next appointment could be the one. I think other clubs will be looking at him now. Clubs like Bayern Munich, who have fallen down the ladder a bit, could even look at someone like him. I think he’d love to move on from Celtic now if he gets a bigger offer.”
As previously noted, there is a sense that Celtic could lose Rodgers, given his past experience managing Liverpool and the possibility of a European giant seeking his services once again.
The 51-year-old has already won three Scottish Premiership titles, three Scottish Cups, and four Scottish League Cups, establishing himself as a proven winner. It’s worth noting that there are far less accomplished coaches currently working in Europe’s traditional ‘big five’ leagues.
Rodgers’ departure for Leicester in the past caused unrest among Celtic supporters, and a similar reaction could occur if he leaves again. Fans might feel that he views the club as merely a stepping stone in his career.
