Norwich City are preparing for potential offers for Borja Sainz in the upcoming summer transfer window, with Celtic among the clubs reportedly interested, sources have informed Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that Sainz’s outstanding performances “have attracted interest from other clubs.”

The 24-year-old winger is currently the joint top scorer in the Championship this season with 15 goals, showcasing his natural finishing ability in front of goal.

Sainz began the campaign in spectacular fashion, scoring 11 goals in his first 13 games. Although his form has dipped slightly in recent weeks, his undeniable quality has kept him in the spotlight.

The left winger is entering the final year of his contract at Carrow Road this summer, meaning Norwich may have to sell him if they fail to secure a playoff spot and promotion to the Premier League.

Sainz is likely to be tempted by a move to a higher level, leaving Norwich with a dilemma: cash in on him now or risk losing him for free next year if they keep him for another season.

Football Insider revealed that Kieran Tierney is set to become Celtic’s highest-paid player upon his return to the club, indicating the board’s willingness to invest significantly to achieve success.

Additionally, Football Insider reported that Celtic’s pre-tax profit rose to nearly £44 million in the first half of the 2024-25 financial year, providing a significant boost to the club’s available funds.

While Celtic have shown interest in Sainz, it remains uncertain whether they will pursue a deal, given the existing options available to Rodgers in that position.

The Hoops surprised fans by re-signing fan favorite Jota during the January transfer window, who occupies the same left-wing role as Sainz.

Well-placed sources have told Football Insider that Sainz “wouldn’t be a priority” for Celtic, despite his undeniable ability to enhance the squad’s overall quality with his goalscoring prowess.
