UNBELIEVABLE – Wes Morgan breaks Leicester City fans hearts as he mentions the TWO Wolves players that will get Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Boys RELEGATED back to the Championship

Wolves have struggled to find their best form this season, managing only six Premier League victories so far.

Vitor Pereira, who took charge last year, has done a respectable job under challenging circumstances, but there is still significant work to be done if Wolves are to secure their Premier League status for next season.

Their recent 2-1 defeat to Fulham has left them just five points above the relegation zone, adding to the pressure as the campaign progresses.

Despite their inconsistent performances, Wolves have been somewhat fortunate that the three teams below them in the table have been even more underwhelming.

Wes Morgan Believes Two Wolves Stars Could Be Key in Relegation Battle

Leicester City, in particular, have been in dismal form.

The pressure on Ruud van Nistelrooy continues to grow as his side has failed to score in their last four league matches.

Even Wes Morgan, a Leicester City legend, has expressed doubts about his former club’s ability to outpace Wolves in the race for survival. He attributes this largely to Pereira’s squad, which boasts two standout players.

“When you look at the Wolves team, you’ve got the likes of [Matheus] Cunha and [Rayan] Ait-Nouri, they’ve got some game-changers in the team,” he told talkSPORT. “When you compare that against Leicester, they do kind of stand out.

“I’ve watched a lot of Leicester this season and they’ll have spells in the game where you think ‘That looks good’ especially in the attacking phase, but I think we can all agree, defensively that has been a big, big issue for Leicester this season.”

Concerns Over Cunha and Ait-Nouri’s Future

Worryingly for Wolves, both Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri have been heavily linked with moves away from Molineux. However, Pereira cannot afford to focus on that at this critical stage of the season.

Wolves Must Capitalize Now and Improve in the Summer

For Wolves to be relegated, they would need to suffer a significant number of defeats, while Leicester City and Ipswich Town would have to pull off a series of unlikely victories. These scenarios make Wolves strong favorites to avoid the drop.

Nevertheless, Pereira will be aware that his team must improve in the summer if they are to avoid being drawn into another relegation battle next season. Teams that consistently flirt with relegation often find themselves eventually succumbing to it, and the Championship is notoriously difficult to escape.

With 11 games remaining, Wolves are in a relatively strong position compared to their rivals at the bottom of the table. However, there is little margin for error, and Pereira will need to ensure his squad remains fully focused, treating every remaining match as a cup final.
