Wolves striker Matheus Cunha will need to be addressed by both the club and manager Vitor Pereira following his red card against Bournemouth, according to Keith Hackett.
The former PGMOL chief and ex-FIFA official exclusively told Football Insider that the 25-year-old might need to undergo a course to help manage his recent outbursts.
Wolves were eliminated from the FA Cup by Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on penalties on Saturday (1 March) after a 1-1 draw in regular time.
Cunha had initially brought Wolves level with a stunning long-range strike after Evanilson had given Andoni Iraola’s side the lead.
However, a moment of recklessness from the striker late in extra time has now left him facing potential disciplinary action.

With just moments left in extra time, Cunha became involved in a scuffle with Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez.
This led to an angry reaction from the Wolves striker, who appeared to swing his arms toward his opponent before pushing his head into the face of the Hungarian international.

Cunha was unsurprisingly sent off by referee Sam Barrott but seemed reluctant to leave the touchline, arguing with staff as they directed him toward the dressing room.
The incident left many pundits shocked by the Wolves attacker’s behavior, which potentially cost the team their best penalty taker for the shootout.
Earlier this season, Cunha was involved in a clash with an Ipswich Town staff member at full-time, resulting in a two-match suspension and a £60,000 fine.
Now, Hackett believes this prior incident could influence the punishment for Cunha’s latest actions, suggesting the club may need to take direct steps to address the issue.

Speaking to Football Insider about Cunha’s sending off against Bournemouth, the former referee said:
“The behaviour of this player is totally unacceptable and his actions damage the image of the game. The first question to ask is how will his manager and Wolves deal with their employee.
“He clearly needs to attend a course to try to improve his behaviour. The FA are having a busy weekend and the fine and suspension needs to be appropriate taking into account his previous sanctions.”
Wolves are currently five points clear of the Premier League relegation zone and are next in action when they host Everton at Molineux on Saturday (8 March).
