Celtic remain keenly interested in Motherwell’s rising talent, Lennon Miller, and are closely monitoring his progress with a potential summer move in mind.
The Scottish champions reached out to the Steelmen during the closing stages of the last transfer window but were informed that the player was not available for sale.
At the time, Motherwell had just secured the re-signing of manager Stuart Kettlewell and were reluctant to compound the situation by parting ways with one of their most valuable assets.
Additionally, the timing of the window made it difficult to secure a replacement, especially with Miller still recovering from injury. Despite these hurdles, Celtic’s interest has not waned, and their scouting team continues to provide regular updates to manager Brendan Rodgers.
The Hoops hold Miller in high regard and are well aware that several elite European clubs, including Germany’s Eintracht Frankfurt, are also keeping a close eye on his development.
Motherwell have already rejected multiple offers for Miller, including bids from Italian side Udinese and Union St-Gilloise during the previous transfer window. The club has emphasized that they are under no pressure to sell their highly-rated Scotland under-21 international.
With Miller’s contract set to expire at the end of next season, Motherwell are expected to entertain offers this summer to ensure they receive maximum value for their academy product. The club is aiming to secure a record-breaking transfer fee, surpassing the £3.25 million they earned from Celtic for David Turnbull in 2020.
