‘He’s LEAVING Elland Road by the end of the season?’ Leeds United Top-class fan favourite SURELY set for summer EXIT as latest transfer update confirms he won’t remain at the club amid contract dispute

Junior Firpo has emerged as a pivotal figure for Leeds United in recent weeks, though his future at Elland Road remains uncertain.

As things stand, Leeds are on track to secure promotion back to the Premier League, but their position would be far less secure without Firpo’s recent contributions.

The Spaniard has stepped up in crucial moments, with his equalizing goal against Sheffield United standing out as one of his most significant contributions so far.

Despite his impressive form, Leeds have yet to reach an agreement with the full-back on a new contract, and the latest transfer news suggests that a renewal may not be in the cards.

Leeds’ Winter Target Remains on Their Radar
Leeds took a calculated risk during the winter transfer window by not signing any new players, despite being linked with several targets.

One of those linked with a move to Elland Road was Dennis Cirkin. According to a report from Sunderland AFC News (6 March), the 22-year-old remains on Leeds’ radar.

Although the club failed to secure Cirkin’s signature in the summer, it is believed that Leeds have “retained their interest.” However, any potential deal may depend on their ability to achieve promotion this season.

Several other Premier League clubs have also been linked with Cirkin, whose standout performances in the Championship this season are likely to command a significant transfer fee.

The fact that Leeds are still being linked with Cirkin suggests that a new contract for Firpo is far from being finalized. The longer the situation drags on, the more it appears that Leeds may have already made their decision regarding Firpo’s future.

Leeds May Be Forced to Rue Firpo’s Departure

While Firpo has had his inconsistent moments, Leeds would not be in their current position without his contributions this season.

The full-back has flourished under Daniel Farke’s management, and there are few doubts about his ability to perform in the Premier League if given the opportunity.

However, if Firpo departs this summer, Leeds will need to find a suitable replacement. Cirkin could be a shrewd option, depending on the financial terms involved in any potential deal.

If Farke’s side secures promotion, they will face a critical summer transfer window to ensure they are well-equipped to avoid an immediate return to the Championship.

Firpo’s potential exit would only add to the challenges of building a squad capable of competing in the top flight.
