BREAKING – Tanner Houck Reveals Where his Verbal Committment and Approval for Long-term Home Lies After No Official Extension Yet from Red Sox

Boston Red Sox pitcher Tanner Houck has consistently expressed his desire to remain with the team for the long term.

In November 2024, following his first career All-Star appearance, Houck indicated his openness to contract extension discussions with Boston.

Despite these mutual interests, as of March 2025, no formal extension has been finalized. In January 2025, the Red Sox and Houck agreed to a one-year, $3.95 million deal to avoid arbitration.

This agreement allows both parties additional time to negotiate a potential long-term contract.

Houck’s commitment to Boston and his performance on the mound suggest that an extension could be beneficial for both him and the Red Sox.

However, until an official agreement is reached, Houck remains focused on contributing to the team’s success in the upcoming season.
