Bitter Kris Boyd reveals the SHOCKING thing he will do next week during Celtic’ Title Party at Parkhead after Hating on Brendan Rodgers’ men all season only to end up seeing them lift the Trophy with over 13 points

Kris Boyd humorously revealed he’ll be steering clear of Glasgow next week to avoid Celtic’s potential title celebration at Celtic Park.

The Hoops need just two more victories to claim their fourth consecutive championship, following Hibs’ win at Ibrox, which marked a fifth straight home loss for a Rangers side in turmoil.

Celtic face St Johnstone on Sunday before welcoming Kilmarnock the following weekend, and winning both matches would secure their 55th league title in front of a packed Parkhead crowd.

The possible title-deciding match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports, but Boyd has made other arrangements, opting to head south to join Paul Merson and the Soccer Saturday team instead.

When it was suggested that Brendan Rodgers’ Treble-chasing side might seal the league before the split, Boyd responded with a quip: “I think would’ve Celtic expected that anyway.

“They thought they would’ve beaten Rangers a couple of weeks ago and it would’ve been over. I’ll be down here out the road!”

However, Rangers’ dismal home form is far from a laughing matter. Interim manager Barry Ferguson sharply criticized his underperforming players and promised significant changes for Thursday’s Europa League quarter-final first leg against Athletic Bilbao after witnessing Hibs secure a comfortable 2-0 win.

Boyd believes a European upset wouldn’t be shocking for Rangers, but he feels the club’s jersey might be too heavy a burden for some of the squad.

He said: “I don’t think he’ll have a problem picking players up because they seem to pick and choose when they are going to play, which would be a worry.

“I think that’s what’s annoying Barry the most. You go to Celtic Park and totally dominate them first-half. Celtic come back into but you find a way to win the game.

“His first game at Kilmarnock and during the week there at Dundee, they find a way to come back. There are worrying signs there that keep creeping back in – struggling to deal with cross balls and long throws.

“That was something Philippe Clement struggled to rectify and it’s a recurring theme. I wouldn’t be surprised if Rangers go and get a result on Thursday, they are so Jekyll and Hyde but it is the inconsistency that has cost them this year once again.

“Barry’s frustrated because he’s seen levels some players can get to, but ultimately, maybe the football club is just too big for some of them.”

He added: “That’s five games in a row at home. Outwith Fenerbahce, the rest are pretty embarrassing, especially Queen’s Park.”
