Edu Gasper confirms £15m star will be an Arsenal player as World-class man TOLD he’s free to leave the Emirates after failing to live up to expectations

Arsenal reportedly rejected an offer for versatile defender Jakub Kiwior in January.

Several Italian clubs are interested in the 23-year-old, including AC Milan.

But Arsenal, who rejected Sevilla’s interest in the player last summer, have no intention of letting him go.

Kiwior has started to make more regular appearances, starting in two of Arsenal’s last four games, and has already accumulated 13 appearances this season.

The Gunners have been hit by fitness problems in defence, with rookie Jurrien Timber lost to a cruciate ligament injury on his league debut and Takehiro Tomiyasu suffering a calf problem earlier this month.

Thomas Partey, who could have filled in at right wing-back, has been out since October with a groin injury.

Kiwior arrived from Spezia in January in a deal that could end up being worth £21 million.

The Poland international has signed a contract until 2027 with an option to extend for a further 12 months and has settled in London.

His English has improved since his arrival and he is versatile as he can play at left-back, centre-back or as a midfielder.

“It’s true that it was a challenge for me at the beginning, but I wanted to take up the challenge because I want to play for a big club like this,” he said last week. “I am very happy here.”

One of the defenders who could leave Arsenal in January is Cedric Soares, who has attracted interest from Villarreal.

The Spanish club has been monitoring the right-back since the summer and first contact was made then.

Cedric, 32, is out of contract at the end of the season and has made just one appearance this season.
