According to Football Insider, Aston Villa could put pressure on Kelechi Iheanacho, who could be signed for £10 million or even less. Unai Emery is keen to bolster his options, including bringing the 26-year-old back to the Premier League.
Kelechi Iheanacho’s situation at Leicester
Leicester City allowed some of their star players to leave the club after relegation from the Premier League last season, but that did not include Kelechi Iheanacho. The Foxes wanted their chance to return to the Premier League at the first opportunity, and that included keeping some of their biggest stars.
Iheanacho made a modest contribution as the Foxes are top of the Championship standings with a six-point advantage. Leicester remain favourites, but their bid for automatic promotion by winning the title could suffer a blow if Iheanacho leaves.

Leicester are reportedly trying to extend his stay, but the Nigerian is not interested in extending his stay with the King Power. Aston Villa’s interest in Iheanacho could have a bigger impact on the player’s mindset compared to other clubs that may have approached him. The 26-year-old has a huge amount of experience in League One, which could play a big part as the Nigerian finds a way to return to the Premier League.
