Barca man now REGRETS not joining Leicester City after REJECTING offer to the King Power Stadium as he’s now dropped down the pecking order at his club with ZERO appearances this season

Two months ago, Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Leicester City were preparing to rival Como for the signature of Arthur Melo. Last month, Tuttosport added that Leicester were in regular contact to secure the Juventus midfielder during the summer transfer window.

On Friday, Corriere dello Sport revealed that Leicester, alongside Como, Fiorentina, and Napoli, all made approaches to sign the 28-year-old this summer. While the transfer window in Turkey closes today, Arthur has already turned down multiple offers from that market.

The Brazilian has not made an appearance for Juventus this season, and his situation at the club has worsened, seeing him drop further down the pecking order.

Though he’s included in Juventus’ Champions League squad, Corriere suggests this was merely a formality, with Arthur unlikely to feature regularly under Thiago Motta.

Arthur might now be regretting his decision to ignore offers from Leicester and other suitors in the summer. According to reports, he is awaiting fresh opportunities when the window reopens in January.

A return to Brazil is also on the cards, with Flamengo, Palmeiras, and Corinthians potentially interested in covering Arthur’s €5m per year salary—provided Juventus allow him to leave on a free transfer. It’s possible that Arthur is holding out for just that: a free move away from Turin.
