According to Calciomercato, Atalanta, AS Roma, AC Milan and Napoli are all in the running for Tottenham’s target.
Ange Postecoglou has demanded the north London club to sign the central defender in January, and the need to strengthen that position has only increased after Cristian Romero’s injury.
Following the Argentine’s latest injury, the Premier League is focusing on Drăgușin. Tottenham are said to be the “most serious” club and will make first contact in the “next few hours” to secure his services.
Genoa are demanding €30 million for the Romanian international, while Calciomercato states that Spurs are ready to make an offer. A concrete offer from Tottenham would help them to beat off competition from other clubs.
Atalanta do not intend to meet Genoa’s demands, while José Mourinho’s team does not have the necessary funds to complete the deal. Milan, meanwhile, are looking at the defender for next summer.
Napoli, which also has the funds, is also interested in the defender. The report says they will have to make an offer, otherwise Tottenham will have the priority to sign Dăgușin next month.
