Tottenham Hotspur are likely to strengthen their ranks in the January transfer window due to a number of injuries that have hampered Spurs’ form.
Ange Postecoglou seems particularly likely to strengthen at central defender. Both Tottenham’s first choice centre-backs are currently injured.
In recent weeks, Spurs have been strongly linked with Genoa defender Radu Dragusin and speculation has intensified ahead of the market opening.
For example, the 21-year-old’s agent recently told Fanatik that he has spoken to Tottenham, who have “taken information” on Dragusin and “will inform us”.
Now, journalist Paul Brown has claimed that the Romanian international is Tottenham’s “most likely” January signing.
“A name that Spurs fans may not know so well is Dragusin at Genoa,” Brown wrote at GiveMeSport.
“Of all the names Spurs are looking at, I think he would be the easiest to get. They’ll probably bring him in.
“They’re looking for a central defender under 26 who will grow and has potential. Dragusin is young and has had a great season in Italy.
“It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he ends up at Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium in January.”

Tottenham definitely need some reinforcements in defence in January, given what we saw at Brighton.
Dragusin seems like he would be a good fit for Tottenham as a squad player and a promising player for the future.
He is young, talented, has a high ceiling and seems to be available and has a reasonable price tag (reportedly around £30m).
However, according to Calciomercato.it, some at the club believe he has the potential to be even better than Cristiano Romero.
Even better for Spurs, Dragusin’s mother told the Romanian edition of AS that it is her son’s “childhood dream” to play in the Premier League.
