“There could be a massive exodus at White Hart Lane” – Tottenham journalist names the next Spurs players who’d be shown the EXIT door by Ange Postecoglou after Hugo Lloris left for the MLS

Alasdair Gold of Football.London said that there could be a mass exodus from Tottenham in January and gave a list of ten first team players who could leave Hotspur Way next month.

Hugo Lloris is mentioned in the article as the “most obvious” player to leave in January, with Tottenham reportedly keen to get rid of the Frenchman on the payroll. In fact, Fabrizio Romano has since given Lloris’ transfer to LAFC his “go” stamp.

Gold says that Eric Dier’s nine-and-a-half-year stay at the club could come to an end as Ange Postecoglou believes the Englishman does not fit his system, while Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could also leave in search of playing time.

The journalist also surprisingly lists Oliver Skipp on the list, explaining that while he is unlikely to be loaned out, Spurs may change their minds if Yves Bissouma and Pape Sarr return quickly from the AFCON and if Rodrigo Bentancur recovers from injury quicker than expected.

Tottenham could loan out fringe players for a few minutes:

Gold says that Bryan Gil and Alejo Veliz could be loaned out to get more competitive minutes, while adding that Tottenham would be open to selling Ivan Perisic if Hajduk Split showed interest in the Croatian.

He explains that Ange Postecoglou will take a good look at Ryan Sessegnon in the coming weeks before deciding whether he can compete for the left-back spot or whether the former Fulham player will have to be loaned elsewhere.

Gold adds that Spurs could fire one of Brandin Austin and Alfie Whiteman, with the other staying as third-choice goalkeeper.

I don’t think there’s any chance of the Spurs letting Skipp go in January, especially now that Hojbjerg is likely to leave. I also think that Postecoglou would want to keep Gil even if Manor Solomon recovers from injury in the next few weeks.
