Tottenham Hotspur got back to winning ways this afternoon, beating Bournemouth 3-1. Let’s take a look at how each player did.

Guglielmo Vicario: He just does his job and never waits for someone to pat him on the back. He made several routine stops today and distributed the ball very well. 7
Pedro Porro: Pedro: Porro played a pretty calm game. He didn’t occupy the pockets as often as usual in the final third, but it wasn’t a bad performance by any means. Some nice defensive work. 6.5
Emerson Royal: You can definitely tell he’s a defenseman who plays in the middle of the park, but Royal had a good game tonight. The Brazilian defended well with his feet in front. 6.5
Ben Davies: Probably Tottenham’s most consistent defender of late. He just puts his head down and gets on with the job in defence. Made some important blocks and carried the ball very well. 7
Destiny Udogie: She was so impressive today. He saved Tottenham three times by coming back as the last man, but was also very dangerous when penetrating forward down the left. What a player!
Rodrigo Bentancur: A late Christmas present, Bentancur returned to the starting eleven much earlier than expected and created a goal within minutes. As always, he was excellent on the ball. He got a bit tired in the second half, which was to be expected. 7.5
Pape Matar Sarr: Hopefully he will still be able to travel to AFCON, but it’s a shame he got injured. He took his goal very well and was brimming with energy on and off the ball on the right side. 8
Giovani Lo Celso: Celo Celo Celso: he did a great job in the audition. In the absence of Kulusevski and Maddison, he jumped into a creative role and came away with two assists. At times he was furious, but he offered much more than he risked. 8.
Richarlison: What can you say about Richarlison? He missed some great chances and sometimes struggled to hold on to the ball, but then he scored the important goal that ended the game. Five goals in five games, it’s hard to argue with that. 7
Heung-min Son: It wasn’t really his best game. He squandered some great chances for a second goal. But Son is always capable of creating a spark, whether it’s sending Richarlison into the box (even if he misses) or hitting the far corner to make it 2-0. 7
Brennan Johnson: A couple of penetrating runs down the wing that looked very dangerous, but no final ball to make Bournemouth pay. Then he finally scored with a great cross from Richarlison to make it three goals. Once he improves his consistency, Johnson will be an important player. 7
Substitutions:
Oliver Skipp: came on for the injured Sarr. He was a bit awkward at times, but got into the game and became disruptive. Played a nice cross and almost set up a goal for Son/Richy. 6
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: A classic Hojbjerg substitution to calm things down, which often works. 6
