Leicester City fans tells Steve Cooper to START 25-year old Beast against Man Utd at the Weekend if Foxes want to get a win against The Red Devils at Old Trafford, it’s NOT Jordan Ayew or Stephy Mavididi

Leicester City fans are buzzing over Boubakary Soumare, with many calling for him to start in their upcoming match against Manchester United.

Soumare’s recent displays have left supporters impressed, particularly after his strong contributions in the Carabao Cup clash with United and his game-changing appearance against Ipswich Town.

In a dramatic moment on Saturday, Jordan Ayew’s 94th-minute equaliser earned Leicester a crucial point, denying Ipswich their first Premier League victory of the season.

Soumare, who set up the goal, lived up to the “super-sub” moniker, muscling past two Ipswich defenders before finding Ayew with a well-timed pass.

His energy and determination have made fans sit up and take notice, with many now eager to see him start.

“If you’d asked Leicester fans if Boubakary Soumare still had a future at the King Power Stadium two games ago, you’d have been laughed away,” noted a local commentator.

Soumare’s career with the Foxes had seemed uncertain, but his recent impact has sparked renewed optimism.

Signed for £17 million from Lille, the Frenchman has struggled for consistent form, yet in recent outings, he’s showcased the strength and technical skill that made him a prized signing.

One fan’s post on social media summed up the shift in opinion: “Got to say Boubakary Soumaré must start at Old Trafford.”

Another agreed, writing, “Nothing would make me happier than for Bouba Soumare to prove me wrong.”

A third supporter added, “Soumare deserves a knighthood for that run. Literally showed all the muscle and determination in that one moment than most players showed all game.” Fans are clearly relishing this resurgence.

Other comments praised his play against Ipswich as his best yet in a Leicester shirt.

“That piece of play by Soumare was his best ever, tbh. Been quietly immense this season and will be knocking on someone’s place in midfield soon,” noted another enthusiastic supporter.

Soumare joined Leicester from Ligue 1 champions Lille in 2022, bringing a reputation as one of French football’s brightest prospects.

His performances in recent weeks are now showing fans glimpses of the talent that had scouts buzzing when he left France. And it seems his teammates have long been aware of his potential.

Defender Conor Coady, according to former Fox Marc Albrighton, had been particularly impressed with Soumare in training over the summer, telling Albrighton he was “the best in training.”

With a wave of fan support behind him, Soumare looks poised for a potential start at Old Trafford, where he could solidify his place and continue to win over Leicester’s faithful.
