Leicester City are anxiously awaiting the results of a scan on one of their most promising young talents currently out on loan.
The Foxes sent several academy prospects out in the summer to gain valuable first-team experience.
Among them were Tom Cannon, Brandon Cover, and Ben Nelson, the latter being a highly-rated defender tipped for a bright future at the King Power Stadium.

Nelson has steadily earned his place in Oxford United’s starting line-up after patiently waiting for his chance.
The 20-year-old featured in their recent 1-0 victory over Hull City but had to be substituted after picking up an injury just past the hour mark.
Oxford boss Des Buckingham told the Oxford Mail he had no immediate update on Nelson’s condition following the match.
However, Leicester’s The Athletic correspondent Rob Tanner later confirmed that the England youth international was set to undergo a scan to assess the extent of the injury.
Could Leicester recall Ben Nelson in January?
Leicester may consider recalling Nelson in the January window if circumstances require it. Reports suggest a loan recall clause could be activated, depending on the club’s needs.
The youngster has been performing admirably in the Championship, a level where he seems to be flourishing. However, back at Leicester, defensive options remain a mixed bag.
Wout Faes and Caleb Okoli have been inconsistent, Jannik Vestergaard’s fitness is unreliable, and Conor Coady appears to be a fringe player under Steve Cooper.
At just 20, Nelson needs consistent game time to reach his potential. The club now faces a critical decision: leave him to continue his development at Oxford or bring him back to shore up their defensive ranks.
