According to The Sun, Everton’s prospective new owner, Dan Friedkin, has identified former manager David Moyes as a potential replacement should Dyche be sacked.
Friedkin, who is close to completing a takeover from Farhad Moshiri, reportedly sees Moyes as an ideal candidate due to his knowledge of the club and his proven ability to keep teams in the Premier League.
Moyes is said to be open to a return, provided the new ownership offers the right contract, vision, and budget to secure his confidence.
The 61-year-old has been out of work since leaving West Ham United last season. His tenure at the London club included two escapes from relegation and a Europa Conference League triumph.
However, his pragmatic style of football drew criticism from sections of the West Ham fanbase, ultimately leading to his exit.
With Everton’s future on shaky ground, Moyes’ potential return could offer stability, but questions remain about whether it would bring long-term progress.
