Former Leicester City defender Frank Sinclair believes Steve Cooper’s tenure as Foxes manager was undone by recurring individual mistakes from his players.
Leicester City announced on Sunday that Cooper had been relieved of his duties with immediate effect, ending his stint at the King Power Stadium after just 12 Premier League games.
Appointed during the summer, Cooper struggled to steady the ship, with the team conceding 23 goals during his brief reign.
Despite the poor defensive record, Sinclair refrained from blaming Cooper directly for the team’s struggles.
“Wow, feel for Steve Cooper, a catalogue of individual errors this season have cost him his job,” Sinclair shared on X.
Cooper’s reputation remains intact, largely due to his impressive achievements with Nottingham Forest, where he guided the club to Premier League promotion and survival.
With clubs already eyeing managerial changes ahead of the January transfer window, the Welshman is likely to attract attention from potential suitors in the near future.
