Sean Dyche’s position as Everton manager appears increasingly precarious, with former Manchester United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown warning that another relegation battle could see the end of Dyche’s tenure at Goodison Park.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Brown, a well-connected figure in football circles, suggested the club’s dire form could lead to the 52-year-old’s dismissal.
Everton are languishing in 15th place in the Premier League after suffering a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Manchester United.
With just two wins from 13 league matches this season, the Toffees are winless in their last five outings and have failed to score in their previous four games.
Adding to the discontent, Everton have managed just ten goals all season, leaving fans increasingly frustrated.
Brown previously stated that the growing unease among home supporters could pressure the club’s incoming owners to act decisively regarding Dyche’s future.
Now, with Everton struggling to pick up points, speculation over Dyche’s position has intensified.
The imminent takeover by The Friedkin Group is expected to have a significant influence on managerial decisions, potentially leaving Dyche’s fate out of his hands.

Dyche’s position has been under constant scrutiny this season, with fan discontent mounting after a string of lacklustre performances.
Brown, who has worked with esteemed managers like Sir Alex Ferguson, Ron Atkinson, and David Moyes, highlighted the precariousness of Dyche’s situation.
“His future is very much up in the air,” Brown told Football Insider.
“You can argue he’s done a good job at Everton given the situations they’ve found themselves in.
“But when you’re getting sucked into a relegation battle as they have, and you’re struggling for form, it’s very likely the manager will be sacked.”
Brown believes Dyche is facing mounting pressure, particularly from the fanbase, which is unlikely to dissipate without a significant improvement in results.
“It feels like the pressure on Dyche, which is coming from the fans as much as anywhere else, isn’t going away no matter what he does.
“They can’t score goals, that’s their biggest problem. Whether it’s down to the style of play or the players themselves, the manager is the one who gets the blame.”
Brown also suggested that Everton’s new ownership could expedite changes in the managerial setup if the team’s fortunes don’t improve quickly.
“There’s a lot of pressure on his position, especially with new owners coming in, so if their form doesn’t turn around quickly I’d expect them to make a change.”
With the spectre of relegation looming once again, Dyche faces a monumental task to reverse Everton’s fortunes and win over both fans and the club’s prospective new hierarchy. Time, however, appears to be running out.
