Before Sunday’s 3-0 loss to Manchester United, Dyche was notably irked by questions about Nathan Patterson and rumours regarding the player’s future.

After the defeat to Manchester United, Dyche addressed claims from the media that he had disrespected Everton’s fans. A reporter questioned him about the visibly empty away stand late in the game, prompting a firm response.
“Yeah, I said early season it would be helpful if you could tell it the right way this time because I wouldn’t question our fans, I never have questioned our fans,” Dyche insisted.
“Not you personally (reporter), the media at large. I’ve never questioned our fans, never once. I certainly wouldn’t—they’re here again today, they’re in good voice.
“They want to support a team that wins, and we haven’t won, it’s as simple as that.”
Change on the Horizon?
The managerial uncertainty at Everton is further complicated by the impending takeover by The Friedkin Group, who have demonstrated a ruthless approach at AS Roma.
Daniele De Rossi was dismissed despite a respectable record, and his successor Ivan Juric was also swiftly shown the door.
Reports suggest the Friedkin Group are eyeing David Moyes for a potential return to Goodison Park. While nothing is confirmed, their decisiveness could spell trouble for Dyche if results don’t improve quickly.
