Tottenham Hotspur continues its January signings and may now acquire the returning defender Djed Spence.
Leeds sent Spence back to North London this week, shocking Spurs.
Tottenham paid £20m to bring in Spence from Middlesbrough on transfer deadline day when Fabio Paratici was in charge, but he failed to impress. Antonio Conte steadfastly rejected him, so Ange Postecoglou sent him to Elland Road this summer.
Now, it seems Spurs will attempt to sell the defender permanently.

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham is ready to sell Spence, who has returned to the club. Leeds’ decision to send Spence back was a real surprise, but now Tottenham will try to seize the moment and cash in on the defender.
Tottenham aims to move some players, and the same report mentions that the club is also open to selling Sergio Reguilon. The Spaniard returned from Man United this week.
Interestingly, United is now reportedly keen to sign Ryan Sessegnon, who is expected to return from injury soon.

And more for his own sake. Spence has obviously not been doing well recently, so Leeds sent him back, and that’s the icing on the cake for him.
His career with Spurs doesn’t seem to be going well, and it seems that Antonio Conte may have been right all along about the young defender.
Now he needs to find a way out and go to a club that will really invest in him and consistently give him playing time.
From there, he should return to his best and show the form he had at Nottingham Forest.
Fortunately, Spence is still young enough to continue his career. But he feels that this next move is crucial, and he simply has to get it right.
