JUST IN – Tottenham edges closer to HUGE January deal, Transfer on the cards for 2018 World Cup star, Agreement has been REACHED, Player could seal Spurs transfer move on…

Tottenham could be close to their first transfer of the January transfer window, as Bayern Munich have returned to do business with Daniel Levi. The German champions were strongly interested in club captain Harry Kane in the summer and then a deal was reached just days before the Premier League season kicked off.

In the early days of the January transfer window, there was a lot of focus on potential signings, as a new central defender was urgently needed. Jean-Clair Todibo was one of the options before it was finally decided that the Lilywhites would pursue the signing of Genoa star Radu Dragusin.

Since then, talks have been ongoing and the Poland international is open to a transfer, but talks on final compensation continue as Napoli are now also bidding for his signature. Interestingly, despite the need for a new defender, the first departure this month could come from this very spot.

Tottenham defender Eric Dier is strongly linked with a move to Bayern Munich and a transfer could be in sight.

Football Insider has this morning published news that the player has agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich.

It claimed that the 29-year-old is closing in on a sensational transfer to the Bundesliga giants and that Harry Kane has fully backed a deal with Bayern.

Sky Sports reported that Florian Plettenberg confirmed the news and that the player is on Bayern’s target list and that there was a “verbal agreement in principle”.

He added that although talks on a permanent deal are ongoing, no final decision has been taken.

Dier’s fall from grace this season under Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham has fuelled speculation about his departure.

Despite earlier reports that his contract was due to expire, his decision could be changed by interest from Bayern, who are offering not only a reunion with friend Harry Kane but also the chance to make an immediate bid for a silver medal.
