Daniel Levy OUT – Spurs fans left Frustrated as Top-class star highly wanted by Ange Postecoglou is set to join European Giants after Tottenham chairman refused to seal agreement for his signature

Tottenham will miss out on signing Ajax’s successful youngster after Fabrizio Romano confirmed which club has snubbed Spurs.

Spurs’ priority this month is to sign a top centre-half. Jean-Clair Todibo was a target, and he held talks with Nice, but Tottenham changed their minds because they feared negotiations would drag on.

Ange Postecoglou has publicly expressed his desire to see a new signing nice and early in the window. Tottenham therefore turned their attention to Genoa’s Radu Dragusin, with whom they were to agree personal terms.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealed that Spurs have offered €23 million. Genoa are asking for €30 million.

Then there were eye-catching comments from the player’s agent, suggesting that Dragusin didn’t really want to move. But there may be more to these allegations than meets the eye…

In any case, Spurs are also interested in a wing-back if financially feasible and have also set their sights on Ajax youngster, Stane Idumba Muzamba.

The 18-year-old plays for Ajax’s development team Jong Ajax and has earned rave reviews for his performances this term.

Muzambo plays primarily as an attacking midfielder, although he can also play on the left wing if required.

Unfortunately for Ajax, the teenage star is out of contract at the end of the season and has made it clear that he will not be renewing his contract. Therefore, a sale in the winter window was in the cards to ensure Ajax would get paid.

Monaco, Sevilla and Tottenham were interested in the player. Romano revealed at the end of December that Spurs and Sevilla “both presented offers”.

According to new information published by a trusted journalist on Friday, Sevilla would win the match.

Muzambo is ready to fly to Sevilla as a deal is close:

Romano revealed on X that Sevilla are “close to an agreement” to sign Muzambo.

He added: “The agreement on a permanent contract is underway, we are waiting for some details and then the player will travel to Spain as soon as it is agreed.”

It was not stated how much Ajax will receive in the deal. Nevertheless, it is clear that if Spurs did indeed submit a proposal, it was not enough to clinch the deal for them.

Muzambo was born in France but grew up in Belgium and has represented Belgium in international football at various age groups.

Whether Tottenham will look back on their missed transfer with regret in the years to come will depend on how Muzambo develops at Sevilla.
