Tottenham Hotspur are planning to sell Eric Dier to Bayern Munich.

This is according to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, who reported for X what Dier wants to do about his future at Spurs.

What has been published about Tottenham Hotspur, Eric Dier and Bayern Munich? Let’s take a look at this.

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to sell Eric Dier to Bayern Munich:

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to sell Eric Dier to Bayern Munich in the January transfer window, according to Florian Plettenberg at X.

The Sky Germany journalist claims that Dier, who can play as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder, has reached a verbal agreement with Bundesliga champions Bayern, who have signed England international striker Harry Kane from Tottenham in the summer of 2023.

As you can see, Plettenberg has claimed that Dier, described by former Tottenham coach Antonio Conte as a “reliable player”, now wants to join Bayern and that he has already spoken to Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel had a close look at Dier when he was Chelsea manager. He seems to have been very impressed by him and believes that the 29-year-old, who has also been linked with West Ham United, can play in midfield and defence in his Bayern team.

My opinion: A dream transfer for Eric Dier
In my opinion, leaving Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich in the January transfer window would be a big step forward and a dream transfer for Eric Dier.

Dier is currently fighting for playing time at Spurs. The Englishman has made just one Premier League appearance for Tottenham this season and has made three substitute appearances.

The 29-year-old could win the Bundesliga and Champions League with Bayern this season. That would be great for Dier.

Dier has made 274 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. In those games he has scored 12 goals, assisted nine times and kept 86 clean sheets.
