“I think it will happen,” “My understanding is that they will let him go in January without a fee.” – Journalist confirms Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic will SIGN Premier League star dubbed fastest player at his club by teammate, Personal Terms Agreed

Celtic are well-positioned heading into the January transfer window, presenting a prime opportunity to strengthen their already impressive squad.

With Brendan Rodgers’ side performing consistently across all competitions, this window provides a chance to build from a position of strength rather than scrambling out of necessity.

Celtic’s recent recruitment strategy has been an intriguing mix of long-term project signings and immediate-impact players, a balance that has begun to pay dividends.

Nicolas Kuhn stands out as a shining example of this approach bearing fruit. However, the upcoming transfer window could see Celtic bring in a proven, ready-made talent to bolster their ranks further.

Kieran Tierney’s Celtic Return “Will Happen”

The prospect of Kieran Tierney returning to Celtic has gained significant momentum. The Arsenal defender, a boyhood Celtic fan, looks set to leave the Emirates sooner rather than later, with his contract expiring next summer.

After recovering from an injury sustained during Euro 2024, Tierney has recently returned to action but seems unlikely to extend his stay in North London.

Journalist Roger Hannah shared on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard that he expects Tierney’s return to Celtic to materialize as early as January:

“I think it will happen,” said Hannah.

“Arsenal have made it clear they aren’t going to take up the option on the last year of his deal. My understanding is they will let him go in January without a fee.

“Celtic, again, my understanding is that Brendan is very keen for this to happen. The player himself has never hidden a desire to come back to the club.”

With Greg Taylor in the final months of his contract and Alex Valle potentially being recalled by Barcelona, Tierney’s arrival would be a timely addition.

The Speed of Tierney

A return to Celtic would give fans the chance to see Tierney on the left flank alongside Daizen Maeda, creating a fearsome duo.

His pace, already well-known, has been praised by Arsenal teammate Gabriel Martinelli, who claimed Tierney is the fastest player at the club:

“Who’s the second fastest player at Arsenal after you by the way?” Martinelli was asked.

“I don’t know, we have KT (Kieran Tierney) and I think he’s quicker than me to be fair, so he’s the first one and I’m the second,” responded Martinelli.

For Celtic, Tierney’s return would not only strengthen their defence but also reignite the passion of a player who is deeply connected to the club and its supporters.
