Leicester City star has said YES to move away from the club as player is closer to joining Bigger club for greener pastures after refusing to help Enzo earn promotions back to the Top flight

Napoli, in need of midfield help in the January transfer window, are flirting with the market and Leicester City’s Boubakary SoumarĂ© is among the targets.

There have been a few reports in the last few weeks mentioning interest from Serie A teams in the defensive midfielder, who is on loan at Sevilla, but nothing really concrete has emerged until Monday.

The latest news comes from Il Mattino, which revealed that Napoli have made the first real move in their attempt to sign the Leicester City player.

It is explained that Maurizio Micheli, their chief scout, is “putting pressure on the player”, who has already “agreed” to a possible move to the south of Italy.

What makes any negotiations difficult is the fact that the Leicester player is on loan to Sevilla, who can buy him for €15 million.

Their financial situation and his nine league appearances suggest that this option will not materialise, but it is clear that an agreement between all parties will be needed before a move to Naples.

That is why Il Mattino explains that the deal is “not a foregone conclusion”, especially since the Italians want the Leicester player “on loan” and “at most” with an option to buy.
