Greg Taylor remains determined to continue his career at Celtic, even as the club looks to bring back former fan favorite Kieran Tierney.

The 27-year-old left-back is nearing the end of his contract at Parkhead, with no agreement yet reached on an extension.

Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb, managed by Italian legend Fabio Cannavaro, have already made Taylor an offer, while several clubs in England and across Europe are reportedly interested in securing his signature on a pre-contract.

However, MailSport understands that Taylor’s preference is to stay at Celtic until the end of the season as he focuses on helping Brendan Rodgers’ side chase another domestic Treble.

Having won 10 major trophies since his arrival from Kilmarnock in 2019, Taylor is content at the club and sees no immediate reason to depart.

The potential return of Tierney, though, complicates Taylor’s situation. The Arsenal defender, also 27, was recently on the bench for the Gunners in their Premier League match against Brighton but is widely expected to return to Celtic on loan.

A longer-term agreement could see Tierney sign a three-year deal on a Bosman transfer in June.

Adding further intrigue to Celtic’s left-back position is the impending departure of Alexandro Bernabei. The Argentine defender is reportedly close to joining Brazilian side Internacional in a transfer worth approximately £4 million.
