OFFICIAL – Tottenham star have left the club following the arrival of Spurs second signing as player spotted at the Airport on his way to NEW CLUB

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a contract with Genoa for centre-back Radu Dragusin.

Despite competition from Bayern Munich, the Spurs accepted an overnight offer for the 21-year-old Romanian international.

Dragusin is expected to travel on Wednesday morning to finalise the proposed transfer, with loan full-back Djed Spence set to leave for the other side by the summer.

Athletic reported last week that Tottenham had opened talks with Genoa over the transfer of Dragusin, with negotiations revolving around £25m – including add-ons and a loan for Spence.

Dragusin has appeared in all 57 league games for Genoa since joining the club, initially on loan, from Juventus in the summer of 2022.

In his debut season, he played a key role in Genoa’s promotion from Serie B, and he is an ever-present this campaign as Alberto Gilardino’s charges are 12th in the Italian Championship.

Spence was loaned out to Championship club Leeds United last week after making just one league appearance until December due to a knee injury.

Spence joined Tottenham from Middlesbrough in the summer of 2022 and racked up six first-team appearances for the club – his transfer to Genoa is his third loan spell outside of Spurs after stints at Rennes and Leeds.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou last month outlined his desire to sign the central defender in January, with Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, who were first choice in central defence, injured in the first half of the campaign.

Postecoglou has been forced to play full-backs Emerson Royal and Ben Davies as Eric Dier, who is out of contract in the summer, has fallen out of favour and Ashley Phillips joined Plymouth Argyle this month.
