BAD NEWS – Nightmare situation for Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham most clutch star picks up NASTY Injury as player is EXPECTED to Miss Man Utd clash at Old Trafford

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso will miss this weekend’s crucial game against Manchester United, according to The Sun’s Tom Barclay on Twitter X.

Lo Celso has started well under Anže Postecoglou, contributing four goals in 12 appearances this season. He has been a good replacement for James Maddison in recent weeks and played an important role in Tottenham’s 3-1 win over Bournemouth.

In Friday’s 1-0 win against Burnley in the FA Cup, the Argentine made a significant impact on the result. However, his contribution was short-lived as he had to leave the field.

Even after Rodrigo Bentancur’s early return from injury, Tottenham’s midfield is still under-manned. Maddison is still sidelined but looks set to return later this month. Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr are representing their respective national teams at the current AFCON 2024.

Luck never seems to be on our side. Fortunately, it seems to be more of a temporary measure than a major long-term problem. However, Lo Celso’s ingenuity would have been of great benefit to us on Sunday. Now it’s up to Dejan Kulushevski to fire the team up from the middle of the park.

Postecoglou’s options in the middle of the park are limited, especially when it comes to players with creative ability. Dejan Kulusevski might return to the midfield on Sunday in the absence of Lo Celso, which could lead to a debut performance from Tim Werner.

Also, the current injury situation at Spurs is such that the loss of Lo Celso from Tottenham will be very much regretted as he provides a valuable contribution in attack as a central striker.

He has had several games in the last month and managed to score in two consecutive games against Aston Villa and Man City. We hope to get another positive result against United next weekend.
