Racing against the clock ahead of the deadline, Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly agreed a deal to sign a midfielder who could replace Mario Lemina in a transfer worth over £17m.
Whether the headlines have mentioned Axel Disasi, Kevin Danso, or Coady, it’s been no secret that Wolves have been targeting another central defender since the arrival of Emmanuel Agbadou at the start of the window.
However, as the deadline approaches, the Midlands club has faced increasing frustration, with Danso opting for Tottenham Hotspur, Disasi seemingly closer to Aston Villa, and Coady no longer a viable option.

It’s not just potential arrivals making waves at Molineux, as Mario Lemina is also reportedly close to an exit, with Galatasaray emerging as his likely destination.
As the former captain prepares to depart, he could pave the way for a new signing. According to Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna, Wolves have reached an agreement to sign Marshall Munetsi after initially opening talks with Stade de Reims for the defender.
In a deal reportedly worth over €20m (£17m), Wolves are said to be confident of securing the reinforcement they desperately need. At 28 years old, the experienced Reims defender is expected to adapt quickly and become a reliable option for Pereira as the season progresses.
Munetsi can reunite with Agbadou:
In one January move, Wolves could end the window with two players who are already familiar with each other, as Munetsi and Agbadou were teammates at Reims this season. While replacing Lemina, the 28-year-old will aim to make an immediate impact and build on what has been a strong campaign so far.
