Reporter George Sessions shares the latest information on Tottenham transfer target Antonio Nussa.
Spurs have had a decent window so far, signing a couple of contracts early. They signed Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig and Radu Dragusin from Genoa.
However, Spurs are not done yet as they remain active on the market and are looking to secure another player in the last week of January.
According to George Sessions, they are close to agreeing a deal for highly rated Club Brugge talent Antonio Nus, who could take the Spurs number 11 jersey next summer, as it is reported that current owner Bryan Gil was planning to leave White Hart Lane after failing to convince Ange Postecoglou.
The latter has confirmed that Spurs are keen to sign the youngster and claims that he is not worried about the lack of recent events.
Speaking on The Spurs Chat Podcast, Sessions said: ‘He’s in the game for the Spurs at the moment:
“The second half of the window has been focused on him. I wouldn’t panic too much that there was a news break last week and nothing has happened since. I wouldn’t have been too worried. Spurs obviously want Antonio Nus and he was mentioned in the summer so he’s been on the radar for a long time.
“If I had to stick my neck out, I’d say Spurs will probably go through with it, especially because it’s a loan that suits Club Brugge.”
The north London outfit have opened talks with the Belgian club and are now ready to enter the next phase of negotiations to finalise a deal for the promising youngster.
The 18-year-old is not keen on the idea of a move in the middle of the campaign, so there is a chance that the two sides will agree a deal in which Nussa will be loaned out to Brugge until the end of the season, before opting for a permanent transfer.
The teenager has not featured regularly in the current season due to a recurring back injury, which has caused him to miss eight games for the club.
However, the Norwegian scored three goals and contributed two assists in six of his 15 starts in the Belgian league.
