Negotiations between Inter and Leicester regarding Sensi’s transfer have been ongoing throughout January, yet the clubs have not been able to reach an agreement until now. Sensi, who has continued to be a Nerazzurri player, hasn’t traveled to England to finalize the move.
The delay in completing Sensi’s transfer can be attributed to Leicester’s need to offload a player to create space in their squad. The East Midlands club has already sent Cesare Casadei back to Chelsea from loan.
However, the departure of Dennis Praet, the former Sampdoria and Torino midfielder, is also likely. Leicester had aimed to offload Praet last week to accommodate Sensi, but the 29-year-old remained at King Power Stadium, causing a delay in the Italian midfielder’s move.
The resolution appears imminent, as Leicester is reportedly on the verge of offloading Praet, with Antwerp expressing interest in signing him. Additionally, there is a possibility that Australian international defender Harry Soutar could depart from the squad.
