Brennan Johnson admitted that Ange Postecoglou was “disappointed” during half-time of Tottenham Hotspur’s win over Brighton yesterday.
Spurs beat the Seagulls 2-1 on Saturday afternoon with a goal from Brennan Johnson in stoppage time.
Tottenham went into the break 1-0 up after Pascal Gross was unstoppable from the penalty spot in the 17th minute. Micky van de Ven was sent off and Spurs struggled to get into the game in the first half.
But, as in the win over Brentford a few weeks ago, Spurs came out with renewed energy to get a deserved equaliser on the hour mark.
Johnson admitted that Ange Postecoglou was not impressed with the play of his players in the opening 45 minutes.

Speaking to Spurs Play, Johnson admitted that Postecoglou was “disappointed” after his team failed to play their football in the first half.
“You can’t play that well or that cohesively if everybody’s not in the game,” Johnson said. “Everybody is firmly in agreement with the way the manager plays.
“At half-time he was so frustrated because we had drifted away from the way we want to play. When we score goals like that, those are the things we work on day in, day out. It’s a nice feeling.”
Sarr equalized on the hour mark and Johnson made sure of the late winner after coming off the bench.
The Spurs gained further strength after the return of Sarr, Heung-Min Son and Yves Bissouma.
It certainly paid off for Postecoglou yesterday as two of his replacements, Son and Johnson, connected for a late winner.
However, it is not surprising to hear that the Australian boss was not impressed with the lacklustre first-half performance.
Although Spurs have picked up positive results recently, their performances in matches have been far from dominant.
